“Human of the Year” is an annual award for contribution to human rights in Bulgaria. It was initiated by the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee and is awarded each year for the past 11 years at a ceremony on the 10th of December – The International Day of Human Rights. It is awarded to individuals, collectives or organisations by a professional jury on the basis of established objective criteria.
