The three main things that the BHC does are monitoring the human rights situation in Bulgaria, advocacy, and promotion of human rights, as well as protection of these rights by legal means. The organization is governed by various programs operating in each of these core activities.


Monitoring and Research

The program systematically monitors and documents human rights violations in Bulgaria.

Legal Defense Program

The program provides free legal aid for the defense of fundamental human rights, analysis of law enforcement in this area, and training on human rights issues.

Communications and Campaigns

Organizes the public communication of the BHC and the preparation of various communication products – press releases, books, websites, and pages in social networks.

Legal Aid for Refugees and Migrants

Offers free specialized legal advice in the course of the procedure for international protection as well as assistance for successful integration, and support for voluntary repatriation.
